Going, gone!

The bungalow is no more, all that's left is the oil tank
The Pit from the top gate
The remains of the foundations, looking towards the top of the site
Looking across the garden to all that's left of it - the cedar tree that we gave to Joyce for her birthday sometime in the 70's
The site of Reuben's vegetable garden and orchard
Looking down the site towards the main road

Tea time in Ditchling

A visit to Ditchling Museum but the exhibit outside proves more interesting...

New project in the garden

Inspired by D'Arcy & Everest's display of alpines at Hampton Court, we visited their nursery near Somersham.  This is the result:

To get some idea of the scale, the bowl is 100cm in diameter

A good use for some of the giant flints that Reuben collected from various building sites

Time for a tea break

The plants look a bit lost but will soon grow ( fingers crossed - the tiny green dot on the left foreground is Myosotis "Eyre Mountain' so I hope it eventually lives up to it's name!)

By the time I took this photo, the sun had gone in so I hope to post a better one soon.

An Armadilla - just the job for a spare room!
