Baking

Too windy to go out, too muddy for gardening so a baking session in a nice warm kitchen.
Always intended to try making a Pannetone so this is the result!

It was good and the leftovers made a fantastic bread-and-butter pudding!

Post-Christmas 2014

Richard and Tony can't quite believe where they are and check out the satnav

The East Pit, Cherry Hinton Lime Pits, last worked in the 1980s and now a nature reserve.  Not much nature yet, but it's early days in geological time.

There is still some countryside around us but Great Kneighton is looming on the horizon
and another estate is being built on the other side of the hedge

On 30 December we had a visit from my cousin Rosemary and her son Chris.
